He didn't have to, but He did this, all for you...

Behold, the man upon the cross.
Was it not He who bore our loss?
Sin had left a wretched stain.
He cleansed it all as
He bore the pain.
Suffered in order to pay the cost,
Of the great sin debt laid upon the lost.
From heaven He came.
In His Father's name.
Rejected by men.
Consumed in their sin.
Though His followers were few.
He already knew.
The price He would pay,
So that we would be with Him one day.
He gave His very life,
To relieve men of their strife.
The Father turned His face away,
As the Son died for our sin that day.
He rose again.
Victorious over death and sin.
He prepared a place,
For those who accept His grace.
