Love
abounding in wonder
grows truer with time
two hearts fully bonded
Patience
created in struggles
grows stronger with time
two hearts left waiting
Distance
space in between
grows farther with time
two hearts torn apart
Silence
words cease to be spoken
grows deeper with time
two hearts so cold
Hate
emotionless shell
grows greater with time
two hearts left dead

in bittersweet oblivion.
makeup covered bruises.
is this the life she chooses?
scars on the outside
couldn't match those on the inside.
with every hit he makes,
her simple heart he breaks.
still, she loves no other.
he will remain her lover.
her heart is ever so connected,
with a heart that has rejected.
all alone at night, she cries.
and her heart begins to die.
she never seems to understand
how love could demand
a compromise to her purity.
she's lost all her security.
trust, her greatest issue,
she calms with razor blades and tissue.
drowned with blood and tears,
trying to nurture all her fears.
in darkness she'll remain,
sitting cold and broken in the pain.
up against death she will scrape,
forever longing a better escape.

this is your song.
You are the light in my darkness,
the hand that leads the way,
the mark upon my heart
that will never go away.
You are just a simple smile,
the sweet fragrance after the rain,
a hand upon my shoulder,
that relieves all my pain.
You are the purest winter snow,
the warm summer sun upon my face,
and if there were no God,
i'd swear you hung the stars in space.
You are just a note in the song of life,
a single page in its book,
a thread in its tapestry
often unseen and overlooked.
You are the glory of the sunrise,
the beauty of the sea,
the simple elegance of the rain,
and all i'll ever need.
the hand that leads the way,
the mark upon my heart
that will never go away.
You are just a simple smile,
the sweet fragrance after the rain,
a hand upon my shoulder,
that relieves all my pain.

He didn't have to, but He did this, all for you...
Behold, the man upon the cross.
Was it not He who bore our loss?
Sin had left a wretched stain.
He cleansed it all as
He bore the pain.
Suffered in order to pay the cost,
Of the great sin debt laid upon the lost.
From heaven He came.
In His Father's name.
Rejected by men.
Consumed in their sin.
Though His followers were few.
He already knew.
The price He would pay,
So that we would be with Him one day.
He gave His very life,
To relieve men of their strife.
The Father turned His face away,
As the Son died for our sin that day.
He rose again.
Victorious over death and sin.
He prepared a place,
For those who accept His grace.
Was it not He who bore our loss?
Sin had left a wretched stain.
He cleansed it all as
He bore the pain.
Suffered in order to pay the cost,
Of the great sin debt laid upon the lost.

annihilation.
The beast inside of me
Tears at my soul
Feasting on my misery
Leaving me empty and cold
He rips at my heart
It bleeds and begins to die
Leaving only an empty shell
Void of any life
I feel as though
I'm in coma
I can see the world around
And the beasts inside each one
Kill silently, without a sound
He starts from the inside
He tears you apart
Then slowly decays the outside
After he is finished with the heart
He terroizes, he demonizes
He makes one go insane
Tearing at your own flesh
The beast now rules your brain
He whipers in your ear
Tells you to put it to an end
You're worthless
There's nothing left to mend
He gnaws at the flesh
Digs his claws in your skin
Consumes your body
You let the beast win
Tears at my soul
Feasting on my misery
Leaving me empty and cold
He rips at my heart
It bleeds and begins to die
Leaving only an empty shell
Void of any life
I feel as though
I'm in coma
I can see the world around

Tells you to put it to an end
You're worthless
There's nothing left to mend
He gnaws at the flesh
Digs his claws in your skin
Consumes your body
You let the beast win
a false credence.
Shards of glass
Tucked into her flesh.
Her emotions pierce her.
Losing all control,
Past the point of giving in,
Fear embraces her.
Shattered reflection,
Eyes bleeding tears,
She knows she can't win.
Letting go,
Falling deeper into the lie,
She's worthless.
No one ever cared,
No one ever will,
No point in even trying.
Controlled by fear,
Entangled in lies,
She suffocates herself.
Giving up too soon,
She didn't know
There was anything else,
No reason, no motivation
She slowly fades away.
No love, no life.
Tucked into her flesh.
Her emotions pierce her.
Losing all control,
Past the point of giving in,
Fear embraces her.
Shattered reflection,
Eyes bleeding tears,
She knows she can't win.
Letting go,

No reason, no motivation
She slowly fades away.
No love, no life.
picking up the pieces of a broken reflection.
Looking into the glass.
A broken reflection.
Scars so deep inside.
Too deep for human eyes.
Twisted images.
Lies disguised as truth.
Striving for perfection.
I want to look like you.
Perfect figure.
Perfect eyes.
Perfect face.
Envy overcomes me.
I change myself.
All nourishment ceases.
I must be exactly like you.
Or something must be wrong.
My body grows weaker.
My eyes grow weary.
Still I strive for perfection.
I strive to be you.
Hunger is passing.
Food is worth nothing.
I must give up everything.
That's stands in my way.
I'm told that I'm beautiful.
But I do not believe.
I only see a beast.
Not what others see.
Each passing day.
Brings problems of its own.
The life slowly passes.
As time rolls on.
I feel as though no one.
Can understand.
The pain that I feel.
The hunger in my soul.
But there is one who sees.
One who understands.
He fashioned me.
Made me just the way I am.
He loves me.
Though I may not see.
I'm beautiful to Him.
And its all that matters now.
He proved His love to me.
He took my place.
Died for all creation.
No regards to mein.
He's given me a new reflection.
I see myself through His eyes.
I see that I am beautiful.
In ways I've never known.
He does not look upon the face.
Nor the body, nor the mind.
He looks into the heart.
Where true beauty abounds.
A broken reflection.
Scars so deep inside.
Too deep for human eyes.
